We grew the brand’s Facebook page followers from 7,000 followers to over 70,000 followers. Also, an engagement increase of over 300% was garnered over the span of the campaign.

Challenges
As a leading generator brand in Nigeria, it is shocking to note that the brand has few followers on social media. SUMEC Firman’s Competitors, on one hand have huge followership on social media in juxtaposition to them. On the other hand, SUMEC Firman’s grandiose presence in Nigeria is not proportionate to their followers number on Facebook, which serves as their leading platform. Thus, there is a need to replicate their market share number on Facebook with over 700% increase in the number of followers, grow brand affinity with the audience and build a community of loyal customers on Facebook within 7 months.
Solution
We launched a Facebook Weekly and Monthly competition which is only opened to existing followers and entries are open to newly acquired followers. A Facebook mobile centric ad placement was launched to raise awareness for the competitions. A lookalike audience of the existing page audience was targeted to increase reach and acquire seemingly interested audience of the brand.
Further, weekly and monthly winners were selected, and were rewarded accordingly based on metrics like engagement stated in the winners selection criteria.
